    2005年在北京大学获得空间物理学士学位;2009年获美国莱斯大学(Rice University)博士学位。之后继续留在莱斯大学物理与天文系从事博士后研究。自2011年起担任研究科学家,主持和参与美国国家科学基金会和美国航空航天局多个科研项目。2018年入选第十四批“千人计划”青年项目。2018年7月任南方科技大学副教授,美国莱斯大学物理与天文系兼职副教授。在GRL和JGR等上共发表论文22篇,其中包括第一作者文章14篇;学术著作章节1章;另外在各类学术会议和多个学术机构报告60多次。2013年获得JGR-Space Physics的优秀审稿人奖。
